Gita Jayanti 2011-12 (Singapore)

This is the 14th year in succession that Gita Jayanti is being celebrated in Singapore, having started as a community celebration in 1997. This celebration with the various related events leading up to the Havan on the final day offers an opportunity for all age groups to get to read, chant, study and understand the Gita and its immortal message. This is also a venue for the various Hindu organizations to come closer through participation and unity of purpose in the celbration of one of the fundamental scriptures of Hinduism.

The "Gita Jayanti 2011-12" is being led by Maharashtra Mandal (Singapore) (MMS) - along with the other Hindu Temples and organizations of Singapore under the auspices of the Hindu Endowments Board.

Like in the previous years, we would invite your participation in all the events leading up to the Gita Havan which is the main event scheduled on 19 Feb 2012 (Sunday). The programmes have been planned to call for participation from Children, Youth and Adults. Click the various links to see the details.

Celebration in its current magnitude is possible only through the generous patronage from each member of the Hindu community. Our appeal goes out to every one to contribute generously to enable us to defray the cost of organizing this function.
