Competitions
Several competitions for various age categores are available as a part of the year long celebrations. They include:
- Gita Chanting competitions (selected verses of the Gita), Quiz Competition, Gita Champion Competition (Multiple full chapter chanting),
- Gita Champion of Champions (Full Gita chanting) etc.
Participation is free, but online registartion is mandatory. Click here to register for competitions.
Drawing Competition (same venue as IGF, downstairs)
Drawing competition for children (22 Oct 2011, Saturday, 1:30 pm). Theme, "Bala Leelas of Krishna".

INTERNATIONAL GITA FORUM (SINGAPORE) - IGFS 2011
An exploration into the perennial scripture "Srimad Bhagavad Gita" from a modern perspective!
The International Gita Forum (Singapore) investigates the role and relevance of Srimad Bhagavad Gita for the modern world. Participate in the lectures / presentations, dialogues and discussions led by illustrious speakers well versed in the art of modern living, eternal values and message of Gita, in the language and ethos of the modern living! All lectures are in English.

Guest of Honour : Mr J Y Pillay
Mr J Y Pillay is at present the Chairman of Singapore Council of Presidential Advisers and former Chairman of Singapore Airlines and Singapore Exchange. He was a highly revered Permanent Secretary in the Govt till his retirement; he then served as Singapore's High Commissioner to UK. He has an affinity for Gita and deems it as a great management tool.

Prof (Dr) V Krishnamurthy, USA
Dr Shankar Abhyankar is reputed scholar from Pune who has been recognised by various institutions for his notable contributions
to Vedanta and Sanskrit Literature. He has delivered hundred of lectures in India and has conducted several special sessions for
youth. An author of 40+ books, he was the chief editor of Encyclopedia of Devotion - a five volume work in Hindi, English and Marathi.
Prof (Dr) V Krishnamurthy, a well known Mathematics scholar, has served in reputed Universities in India and USA. He has been
President of Indian Mathematical Society and similar associations. He received his systematic training in Hindu scriptures from his
father Sri R Viswanatha Sastrigal. A recipient of distinguished awards, Prof V Krishnamurthy has given several successful lectures
over the years on Hindu scriptures and Vedanta. He has also authored several books.
